While World Cup Football fever has been in full swing, the Prinz team has continued to shoot and has been working tirelessly at giving our clients a year round production service. Read on for all the new exciting news.

...as some of you might already know, we are now also running productions in Lisbon, Portugal.

...and the reasons for choosing this city as our second production home are evident in the many similarities Cape Town and Lisbon share. There is only 2 degrees difference in latitude from the equator between these two cities, which explains why they share the same fantastic light for photographers. It was also a Portuguese explorer, Bartholemeu Diaz, who first rounded the Southern tip of Africa, in search of a route to East India.

 

Lisbon has varied locations, from beaches with festive beach bars to historical buildings, from forests to modern streets. It is generally cheaper than other European destinations, production friendly and the weather is fantastic! We have already got teams confirmed this year and will be there for the duration of the European summer. Heading up our team in Lisbon are Andre and Debbie who look forward to receiving your brief.

We have just concluded another Kyle Christy job for the Stills of the Blue Crush 2 movie. Shot in Port Edward on the east coast of South Africa just south of Durban. The weather there this time of year is delightful and offers photographers yet another unique location alternative.

 

Our work is not only confined to facilitating productions and we have been taking full advantage of having the world cup in our back yard. Graeme and Sebastian have been involved with the various Public Viewing Areas around Cape Town. The giant flaming vuvuzelas are a concept they have been working on for the past two years and they are finally being showcased to the rest of the world, in collaboration with the City of Cape Town.
